Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. While growing up, she listened to classical music, as well traditional boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began to study singing and play music from an early age, along together with her mom. She received more formal vocal instruction when she was 16 years old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera chamber and choruses. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keep her engaged in a myriad of local activities as a performer and teacher. Ana has been an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a love, in particular for the young generation, for keeping this music alive.
